An exciting & unusual sight was seen on 15th January 2009, a pod of 3 Orca’s! The group consisted of a bull & two females. They were seen about noon at Manse bay, South Ronaldsay.

So keep your eyes peeled, you never know when you might be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of these sometimes elusive mammals! 

We wonder when our first sighting of 2009 will be??

Hope you all enjoyed your Christmas & New Year? To those of you who received our jewellery we hope you were pleased with your gifts.

We had lovely still, sunny days over christmas & were able to enjoy walks most days. It was especially nice after the severe gales we had the weekend before! Orkney looks so beautiful in the sunshine. We enjoyed one of our tasty hams & a local free range turkey for christmas dinner. Very rewarding…

So now it is time to get back to normal & think about the year ahead. Roger has a mind full of inspiration, I will be recording my debut CD & there are always the many jobs around our place to keep us busy!
