5th June - x2 Orcas seen coming across from Gills Bay to St Margarets Hope from the Pentalina Ferry

7th June - X6+ pod of Risso s Dolphins & x2 Porpoise seen by us & customers in the Bay of Birsay from 2.30-4pm! A great way to enjoy a few hours in the sun & a calm day..

14th June - x10 White Beaked Dolphins & x2 Rissos Dolphins in Birsay Bay.

10th/11th July - a pod of Orcas seen off Noup head, Westray

Two harbour porpoise seen from our cliffs travelling towards Marwick head.

One Minke whale feeding off the brough of Birsay. Feeding on the newly arrived shoals of fish that could be seen breaking the surface.

Basking Shark in Bay spotted from our field whilst ‘Family Clark’ were visiting our Gallery. We all spent a while enjoying watching this large fish lolling around & feeding.

1 Minke Whale travelling past Brough. 2 Risso’s Dolphin’s around Brough. 5 Risso’s Dolphin’s, 2 harbour Porpoise & a family group of 7 Orca’s travelling North from Marwick Head, beneath our cliff & around the Brough! We watched them for an hour on a hot, flat calm day & the sea was like glass… a wonderful & thrilling experience to have whales at the bottom of our garden!
